Thank you my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell for making us aware that that the only fox native in North Carolina the Gray Fox can climb trees.
That Gray Fox can probably terrorize the birds and squirrels that occupy the trees.

Our Red Fox in Minnesota can climb too and sometimes will take a sleeping turkey right off the roosting branch he's sleeping on.
