Only a Soldier would do this. This is a nice human interest touch after a long and avoidable case of personnel mismanagement.

I think this is TOTALLY AWESOME, and is something that the kid will be proud of for the rest of his life.
We see idiots every day that name their children by seemingly pulling random letters from a hat and then trying to pronounce it. In this case the Soldier is formalizing a family story that is super cool and should be part of that family's life.
The Soldier is a hero. The Congressman did the right thing. The Pedophile should have been shot.
