SSgt Terry P. The son that lives on a lake in OK complains of the debris left on his shoreline as the water recedes from higher levels.

CSM Charles Hayden - Our biggest problem lies with the FWR holding the water level high for ducks and other waterfowl during their migration longer than they should....the spring rains and run off causes everyone around the lake to be flooded and the fish spawn in the shallow water,then the lake recedes and the eggs are left high and dry when the lake gets back to it's normal level.The FWR doesn't care what happens to the lake other than their portion concerning the wildlife on the refuge.No considerations are made for the largest portion of the lake which is the livelihood of private owners and resort owners.The idea that taxes and license fees are what supports their ability to have the refuge doesn't affect any of their decisions.This has been a controversy,since the state give them the land and portion of the lake from the beginning.As you may have guessed,i am adamantly opposed to their position of controlling the water table.

CSM Charles Hayden - My friends that own homes directly connected to the lake have the same problem as your son,having to clean up after the water returns to normal,plus many have out buildings that are trashed or destroyed by high water,some with their homes damaged,too.
