It's a tactic long used. for example, arguments were made the kids who survived the Florida school shooting and started activism are somehow not doing it because they want to. If you can discredit the messenger you can ignore the message.

I have seen her passion and anger in her speeches. She is clearly passionate and believes what she says. I have not seen clear, articulate arguments. Because I expect clear articulate arguments to be based in fact and experiential evidence. She is the darling of the left because the left only expects volume, passion, and fire, and that suffices for an argument. I do not expect her to be a conformist, but if she chooses to enter the world of national and international policy and expects to be taken seriously, she must offer more than heat and blame. She must offer policy solutions based on a pragmatic understanding of timelines, funding, and economic governing principles.

Even though I disagree with some of your point, I liked the way you worded this alot. I wish more people could choose to speak this calm and concisely.

SPC Angela Burnham - Thanks, I appreciate that. One of the great values of RP over Facebook or (worst of all, Twitter) is that our names are real, and we feel we need to have some measure of mutual respect with each other. I think that helps us have much more substantive arguments and discussions than in anonymous forums.
