Personally, I hope President Trump sends the Feds into Chicago to figure out how a city with the strictest gun control laws in the county, can have a "death by gun" rate that is many time higher than that of a war zone. I've never understood how President Obama could stand by and watch the dead pile up day after day and week after week and not put a stop to it. Hopefully President Trump will.

PVT James Strait - Again ya'll seem to think I am disagreeing with you which I am not. High crime rates, yes but not war zones per se.

PVT James Strait - Yes... that is not all inner cities having this issue though. There are some, yes, but not all.

PVT James Strait - I hope so also. We'll just have to see.... maybe if we can get others out there to have tough and invigorating convos like this, maybe some things can get rolling

interesting piece...
one of the key pieces I would leave is the 5 day waiting period with out permits or CCW...
the other is The Back ground Checks... they need to be done to insure the legitimate and legal purchase of a weapon... I Don't Want to See Total Mental cases with weapons ... on either side...

LTC David Brown
I often remember a women her in Augusta who had an abusive boy friend. She finally got the courage to put him in jail. She found out Friday morning he was being released that after noon. She talked to the Police officer and was told " mam we can not protect you 24/7 get a gun." She did. Early Saturday morning he showed up Drunk and angry. She had barricaded the doors so he tried to come in through a window. She shot and killed him. Where would she be with a waiting period?

Capt Seid Waddell
SFC George Smith, LTC David Brown, the instant background check has made the waiting period unnecessary.

I thank God that Trump won. After all, he is NOT facing criminal charges and possible indictment. Here in lies the great divide in Gun Opinion.
Clinton, and her followers blame the gun, ANYTHING but to accept responsibility for their own actions. Trump and his followers place blame on the guilty individuals and not on a scapegoat.
You see, the problem is not guns, but rather the idiot holding them. A Black man is shot while in the commission of a crime and the cop is to blame, the gun is at fault, a riot ensues, stores are looted and property destroyed and the Liberal politician stands up, beats his chest and blames Smith and Wesson...Mothers and Grandmothers appear on TV and cry that if there were no guns, that their child would be alive...What they should say is IF there were no gangs in this city, my child would be alive. If the Police were able to arrest GANG Members FOR BEING GANG MEMBERS, and put them away, my child would be alive. The fault is the person holding the gun. I have never committed a crime, much less committed a crime with a gun...I should be allowed to own any type of weapon that I want to own, without having to get permission from the Nanny State. the guy that has committed a gun crime should not be free on the streets to begin with...Here in lies the problem. Liberals say remove the guns and crime will go down...BAAAAAAHHN....Nope, never has worked and never will. Conservatives say remove the Criminals and crime will go down... DING DING DING....We have a winner. remember a Felon on probation is 100 times more likely to commit a crime as a person that has never broken the law, where as, a Criminal Felon on the end of a rope is NEVER going back to prison, never going to hurt anyone else and will no longer be a burden or drain on society.

SGT (Join to see) - I did not mean for it to come off that way, but we just had a spell of rioting here, where I had to spend several nights guarding the business where I work. I am against the rioting...
It is the problem with the people not the guns. I just wish that we could deal with the criminals like criminals, so that the rest of us, the vast majority of people of every race could live in peace and free from worry.
Sandy Hook, Roof, and the theater shooter very true are not gang members, but, if you add up the victims of Gang member violence in the inner cities, the number is greater than the Sandy Hooks or Theater shootings. Aggregate murder numbers on a weekend in Chicago are greater than all the mass shootings, and SGT Wallace almost all of that is Black on Black crime, yet no one stands up to plead for or march for or protest for them. No one protests the gangs in Chicago chanting No Justice, No Peace. Nor does anyone demand gangs be eliminated, just blame guns and make news headlines. It is sad.

I just posted some links about gun violence and the history thereof along with gun control- you might be surprised overall. I think this is a good discussion we should have along with a few others or nation needs to sit and open up about in all honestly. I understand where you are coming from and can see your points to a certain degree.
It could be because of your situation that your view of the situation as a whole is different than mine, while at the same time I claim no expertise either. There should be more howling about gang violence and for quite some time there was and unfortunately things fell on deaf ears, towards blind eyes and a sense of, if it is not bothering me, let them deal with it attitude. Not saying that is an excuse, just a symptom of a larger issue. Again, there should be more discussion, more howling and more outrage- the question still remains as to why there isn't?

SGT (Join to see) - There is not because it is not good press, nor popular to cast a shadow over the modern Thug Lifestyle. I am a professional in the firearms industry and honestly have more black clients than any other group. I take these folks to the firing range and try to teach them safety and the skills to defend their homes and families. Te desire to be safe in ones own home transends color and gender, it goes beyond race and politics.
Liberal Democrats for some reason want to disarm you and me. Remember, Sergeant, an ARMED man is a Citizen, an UNARMED man is a subject.
I am against the gangs and rioting. I would like for everyone to live in peace and security, but until then I carry a gun, I sell and teach guns, and that is not a racial thing.

SSG Roger Ayscue - I can fully understand snd see your view to a certain extent. Education is the key and the gun culture put upon us over generations in many aspects have had it successes and failures. These do transcend race and politics, but unfortunately have become intertwined with those very things.
