I can make statistics say whatever I want them to. Asking the right questions in the right way will get whatever result you want. Numbers tell the story to suit your agenda.

The article makes a great point, how do you count the times that a weapon caused a criminal to rethink their tactics or approach and move on. I have had a couple personal incidents where the display was sufficient to dissuade the criminal, though it was never reported. Somehow guns are the battle that the left has decided to fight, I don't get it...

SGT (Join to see) If you take all of the research, all of the numbers and all of the emotional response out of the equation, you are left with this: The right to keep and bear arms is laid out in the U.S. Constitution as a right of the people. If an individual is willing to hand over their rights, they must be prepared to hand over ALL of their rights.
For me personally, this issue started to be important because I do enjoy shooting. I find it cathartic, and relaxing. Now I see it as a bigger issue of how important is it to preserve our Constitution. To me it is just that simple. If the anti gun crowd wants to limit gun ownership, then there should be a constitutional amendment placing those limitations. I would not like it, but if it was an amendment I would abide by it. Fortunately, I do not see an amendment to repeal the second amendment garnering enough support to make it through to the Constitution.
