I've fired many different weapons in my life, mostly small bore and shotguns before I enlisted in the Army. However, one day when I was 18 I had the opportunity to fire one round from a Holland and Holland 400 Nitro Express. I was a "large" lad and met the 12-stone requirement. Now at 74 I'm not sure that my shoulder ever fully recovered. To be fair, it was the most beautiful weapon I ever touched. I'm happy that I found this demonstration of how they're crafted.
