I am a retired Federal Law Enforcement officer, I have been carrying my gun into stadiums for years, and it is a really good idea for me to do so.
We are all hyper aware of school shootings, I personally can't imagine a more target rich environment than a football stadium. A terrorist wouldn't even need to approach the building, the parking lot is such a mass of humanity that even the worst shooter would rack up a massive body count, and the only thing stopping that shooter would be a good guy with a gun. I don't want to go to far into the why but stadium security is a joke, it would not be hard to smuggle a gun into most sports facilities. So you have a choice, you can either pray for the bad people to ignore the soft target or you can allow good law abiding citizens to take responsibility for defending themselves they way our Founding Fathers envisioned it.

It is illegal for those with a CC license to drink while carrying, to go into a drinking establishment while carrying etc. Somehow, the notion that licensed conceal carry people would simply violate the law and risk their license seems a bit of a stretch.

Tough call, but with the sale of alcohol and the level of emotions that happens at games, I'd say no. If People could be trusted to carry but not drink I would have a different answer, but we know we can;t trust people. I don't really side with the author as I think he took it to far, maybe someone smarter than I can find a way to balance it out. Personally if I see a gun free zone I don't go to the business, My bank, courthouses and other government buildings excepts my Retirement commission card and allows me to carry. If a business don't want it tho, I will respect their wishes by not entering.
