India has developed leaps and bounds over the decades that in present day it not only boasts as the Silicon Valley of Asia, but also of growing as an indigenous military equipment manufacturing hub. The AMCA or Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft is a fifth generation multirole stealth fighter being designed, developed, manufactured, tested and inducted in India. The AMCA rides on the success of the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft Mk2.0, which is an indigenous generation 4.5 platform. India expects to begin phasing out its Sukhoi Su-30MKI Superiority fighter fleet by 2026. India will replace its Fishbeds, Mirages and MiG29s with the Tejas LCA Mk 2.0 by 2024, says a Defence Ministry spokesperson.
