Tried it, but didn't like it. I prefer the real thing. I don't know if they still do, but they used to charge a subscription fee for the service. Echolink is much better. It allows users to link VHF & UHF transceivers to the internet. You can now have QSOs worldwide in 2 meters.

I understand I know of echolink and also cq100 which is similar it's just that I thought some might like it the subscription didn't bother me though I follow you reasons I've been meaning to get relicensed mine expired beyond renewal a tech level this just seemed a good Pinterim expedient though I knew it's not for all tastes of course
