Why is it that when people see other people enjoying something, they have to tear it down? Next year I will pull up this piece out put it in a Mother's day card and write. I was going to make sure I took this day to remember and appreciate you. I thought some flowers or a nice brunch would brighten your day, but instead I must rub your face in the irony that this holiday day started out tragic.
Can you come to my daughters house on Easter and kick their pet rabbits? Or perhaps slap my children in the face and tell them that pain is nothing in comparison to the cavities they will get from eating Easter candy.

Thank you for the post Mrs. Chase. It wouldn't be the first holiday or idea to be exploited by capitalism. Nonetheless, the spirit of honoring a mother's sacrifice remains intact well at least in this country.
