Whether I agreed with Truman on any issue matters not. Even if I found fault in everything he did, it would matter not. He was a President any man could respect. Few know that he rose to prominence by rooting out and exposing corruption and profiteering during WWII when the US was arming the allies to fight the Axis Powers. You can bet there was lots of opportunity to profiteering and corruption in those days, but Harry wouldn't have any of it. Neither would he "sell" the Office of President for any price even though he was desperately poor upon leaving it. The "Buck" that stopped at his desk could not be spent. His memory puts all others, especially the Clintons and Obamas to shame. ..
