the demographic breakdown was impressive. known issues. 1) geographic location for sample selection can be skewed so as to provide subjects from one political affiliation alone. nothing indicated efforts to remove this confounding effect. 2) nothing was published in either their demographics or methodology that indicated what their selection criteria for geographical sampling was. only phone numbers matched to addresses. 3) most notably, they attempted to avoid cell phone users. and yes, i DID follow the links to the other studies and explanations of demographics/methodology.

Sometimes people just look at the title of the link and then state their views without putting them into context of the actual content. I appreciate you taking the time to look at it all before posting your opinion.
Having worked with the people who conducted both the poll and research I'm personally confident with their practices. It's not stated in the methodology section, but I recall that they did sample from various geographic locations. They've also been conducting this poll twice a year for a number of years now and their data has proven to be fairly accurate over this time. For these two reasons I'm trusting the data and looking past any poorly communicated sampling practices.

I'm a nerd. Can you briefly tell me how geographic areas we selected? The part that makes me question it was the part where they said they provided computer eqipment & ISPs for those desiring to complete the survey online...

it's not hard to turn statistics and Poll wit say what ever you want them to say just ask the right questions in the correct way and you own the poll...

Something interesting that I read is that they said that Clinton supporters are enthusiastic. It has been shown that HRC does not win hearts, but she wins votes. Most of her supporters are not as vocal in her support, but more vocal against Trump.
