Back some years ago there was a band just starting it life and grew to become one of the most exciting and listened to band ever!!! That band is the awesome, fantastic, storied band, known as The EAGLES!!!
I bring one of their songs, "which appeared on their 1979 album The Long Run. titled 'I Can't Tell You Why'. It was written by band members Timothy B. Schmit, Glenn Frey, and Don Henley. Recorded in March 1978, it was the first song finished for the album and the first Eagles song to feature Schmit on lead vocals. Released as a single in February 1980, it became a Billboard top 10 hit in April of that year, reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on the Adult Contemporary chart. It was the group's last top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100."
I hope this rings a bell and brings back some great memories!!!
Rock on my brothers and sisters!!!
Kerry
LYRICS:
"I Can't Tell You Why"
Look at us baby, up all night
Tearing our love apart
Aren't we the same two people
Who lived through years in the dark?
Every time I try to walk away
Something makes me turn around and stay
And I can't tell you why
When we get crazy
It just ain't right
(try to keep your head, little girl)
Girl, I get lonely, too
You don't have to worry
Just hold on tight
(don't get caught in your little world)
'Cause I love you
Nothing's wrong as far as I can see
We make it harder than it has to be
And I can't tell you why
No, baby, I can't tell you why
I can't tell you why
Every time I try to walk away
Something makes me turn around and stay
And I can't tell you why
No, no, baby, I can't tell you why
I can't tell you why
I can't tell you why, no
