PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Yamamoto was a smart man. He understood that to attack the United States was not wise. He also understood that in order for the Pearl Harbor attack to truly be a success, the Japanese Navy would need to sink the American Carrier fleet. Both of his understandings came to fruition. First at Midway when four of the six Pearl Harbor Carriers were sunk, second at Hiroshima and Nagasaki with the birth of the nuclear age. Really wonder how much different World History would be if the Japanese Government had listened to the warnings, and not struck at the United States.
