This is why Americans are losing trust and confidence in the medical industry. We are being treated like cattle. I'm glad this case didn't settle behind closed doors and actually made it to court. In doing so, it spotlights and exposes one of the many problems of hospital administrations and their executives.

Corporate healthcare that control hospitals and other medical services is a huge problem in our country. The For Profit healthcare model they practice is immoral and unethical.

Why is the Cost of Healthcare so High you ask here it is in a nutshell,
" Independent doctors with admitting privileges are vital to hospitals since they provide a steady stream of patients, and specialists like Gomez, who perform procedures with high profit margins"
While I think it is great this Dr. took on the Hospital system and their shady practices, this shows more into the mind of the system and how they cost Billions a year to the people and have no oversight. Getting a hospital bill is like reading a list of odd surcharges on your phone bill and then told they all are required with no explanation of what they do. Here is a nice article on the subject.
