All very interesting. BUT what happens when the batteries die or become unavailable? AND saving weight in one area has never in recent memory been an advantage; why because the weight plus ends up being added back on by other 'important' gadgets, and therein also effects the availability of power and wags the logistics train, therefore becoming an even bigger issue.

Lighter weapons and ammo is good. But I fear too much high-tech. Reliability is a factor and high-tech means high-maintenance and high-probability of failure.
