Does anyone like GIs? Sometimes, I wonder if RP is one of the best places to be when I read the trash on other networks. This article ask why military has redundancy in equipment? Why take off at a specific time. Sometimes....civilians frustrate me....especially as they see mission critical needs as a waste. Next we will deploy medics with only one bandage...based on an efficiency algorithm.

The civilians need to be in a front line combat area to see why the equipment is needed.

I'm with you, brother. How fast do consumable supplies disappear when we're deployed in the field? They evaporate, or at least seem to do so. And when capable people with good weapons are on the other side trying to kill us, things can get beat up or destroyed rather quickly. Remember Robert S. McNamara and his operations research "wonder boys"? They created some of the worst equipment we've ever seen. They knew the cost of everything, but didn't know the value of anything.
