I must admit the jungle boots that I wore in the RVN back in the mid 60s were much better than black leather combat boots we trained in,they simply could not hold up to the wet jungle conditions,hope this new edition is that much better, if only for the grunts that have to wear them.

We have better materials now, why not use them these boots are lighter, stronger less susceptible to rot and keep your feet drier. Are any of those things not good ideas?
