Hickam Airman Rebuffs Flak for Speaking Spanish in Uniform

I read this exchange the other day- odd what sets people off. Airmen did a good job- no real good way to handle the situation. Not sure I would have went back and posted on FB, but that's me.

Why should anyone apologize for speaking a second language. I only ask people not to do it if others IN the group don't understand (or translate what is said for them)
