I applaud your efforts, CAPT (Join to see). This is the Agent Orange of our generation, IMO. Getting the VA to recognize it is the key.

CAPT (Join to see) - I think I have filled out at least 2 of the surveys. At this point I don't know who has them and where it will go. I don't think DoD was in on any of them so I don't see how that is supposed to help those who separated/retired before they knew this was an issue. The post-deployment PHA didn't cover this that I remember.

Right, the DOD doesn't do the surveys. VA has the Burn Pits Registry and they collect the data. This bill gets some DOD skin on the game and makes them ensure active duty document their exposures and register in the VA registry. It also has DOD and VA sharing the data. Once we do these steps, we need to do research and treatment. Stay tuned!

CAPT (Join to see) - OK. I don't think I did a VA survey. Some company (law firm?) had a survey a year or so ago. I'll have to see who it was I guess. I haven't heard anything from the VA about doing a survey.
