1SG Steven Imerman You're a great guy, and I know you meant no disrespect, but you do realize that we trans people have to do the exact same thing as these girls apparently are right? I can't use any restroom at my work except for a lone single occupancy room on the other side of the building between 1700 and 1800. If I use the men's room, I could be subject to violence or harassment from male coworkers (not to mention everybody would probably start misgendering me).
And If I use the women's room then I'd probably inevitably make someone uncomfortable just by being there, even if I'm just minding my own business. Last time that happened, I had an anonymous complaint filed against me by a lady who claimed that I was "targeting women as a gender" by using the same bathroom as her, and that was when I was the head of security at my regional USPS Plant, a large government facility. That complaint was made public for everyone who worked there to see, I was outed as a trans woman to everyone, and basically publicly shamed in front of hundreds of my coworkers.
It's ridiculous that a person can serve their country for the better part of a decade, come home, and not even be able to use the bathrooms at their place of employment without being harassed.

I was sharing an article that concerns school children, and I still hold that opinion. I have no doubt different policies could be enacted for adults.
I empathize for you in your situation, but also can understand how others can see your presence as a threat, especially former abuse victims.
It is probably a thing for the courts to decide, transgender rights or the rights of shy women, timid women, and abused women.
I'm glad I'm not a judge.
