The supposed rationalization for sanctuary cities is to ensure that people won't be afraid to report crimes or seek emergency medical attention or aid. The left wants everyone to believe that its all about protecting someone who is simply doing the work Americans don't want to do from getting deported because of a traffic ticket.
What has been happening too frequently is that illegals who are violent criminals are going through the courts repeatedly and simply committing more crimes. Any one who is illegal and commits a crime should be deported immediately upon completion of the sentence. No only that their country of origin should be billed for the cost of housing them/
