We were very pleased this month to have US House Veterans Affairs Chair Jeff Miller of Florida on our WVOX show. In 2011 Rep. Miller sponsored legislation that enabled our group to donate the Jewish Chaplains Monument to Arlington National Cemetery. Listen in our talk about that project then the business of the day, status on VA claims backlog, why Veterans Choice has struggled, and mental health care availability for veterans. Rep. Miller, retiring from Congress at the end of the year, has been extraordinary in his support of improved service for veterans from the VA. Our appreciation to Chairman Miller for his service to the country.

Ken, do you know where they will be placing the monument? I would like to visit it as I was a Jewish Liaison Leader while I was on active duty and enjoyed the privilege of attending High Holidays in Honduras and breaking the fast with Horst Shifton at the Israeli Consulate's House.

Michele, Jewish Chaplains Monument was placed in 2011 in Section 2 just past McLellan Gate. We are working to update Protestant Monument for Korea, Vietnam, Cold War, find a means to honor chaplains KISERVICE post 9-11 and build a pathway to ease access up the steep hill.
