This happens unfortunately. When I was in middle school the social studies teacher kept referring to me as "our resident Nazi" whenever I would respond to a question because I liked the Army and was active in scouting (1970's hippy). After a week of his BS I launched into the definition of Nazi, and compared and contrasted the difference between patriotic and Nazi and ended with a very emotional "so fuck you!"
Off to the office I was sent , for being a disturbance and disrespectful and swearing at a teacher (bad JuJu).
I got a serious dressing down by the principal and at the end was asked why I was being "Bad". So explained that I wasn't a Nazi knew what a Nazi was and my family had fought the Nazis. The principal turned red as a fire engine and I knew I was going to get reamed again. Instead he called my folks told Ma what had happened and asked her if she or Pa could come to the school. Both showed up, I got reamed for swearing, and then the teacher was called in and the principal launched into the greatest butt reaming I have ever to this day heard completely devoid of any profanity but on the verge of ripping someone's throat out. Yes it was in front of me, my folks and could probably be heard in the next town over.
Turns out the principal had fought in the war with my uncles and knew exactly where our family stood on Patriotism verses any of the other isms.

Long story but this kind of crap happens and if no one is in your corner can scar and alienate a kid for the rest of their time in school. I ended up with a day of in school suspension because my dad and the principal felt that no matter what the circumstance students should not disrespect authority and I should have let them handle the "damn hippy".

I think it was a bit unfair for them to expect you to let them handle the damn hippy, since they weren't going to know about what he did without the incident happening. But good for you for standing up for yourself even if it got you in trouble, and good for the adults for actually being adults.

Ms. Schiesel, my 10th-12th grade English teacher told me I was most likely to be the student who pissed her off the most, of her entire career.

SGT (Join to see) time and place. From what I read, it reads like the teacher was trying to be funny. One terrorism is not funny. Two labeling a student as most likely to become one can have an impact beyond a silly joke. Three it can cause other students to look at that student as an outsider, ostracizing the student. four, it can cause violence against that student. Five, it can cause that student to wonder why the teacher chose them for that statement hurting their sense of self when they are still trying to figure that out. Six can cause a public outrage leading to termination of employment for the teacher. Finally, it could lead a pissed of parent to beat that teacher like a rented mule.
