How Audie Murphy Inspired a Kenyan Immigrant to Join the US Army

Turner Classic Movies gave itself a makeover earlier this year, updating its look and trying out new approaches with its programming in an effort to introduce new audiences to amazing old movies. One of the most inspired events so far is the upcoming "The Idea of America" series, premiering on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET and continuing for the next two Fridays. TCM host Ben Mankiewicz will interview nine immigrants about how the movies inspired them to move to the U.S.
