I was hoping to read the article but the link isn't working for me. I worked for Disney World (DW) during 9/11. I can attest that DW has a militaristic way of running day to day operations. They emphasized training, integrity, and timeliness. It inadvertently made me mildly prepared to join the Army in 2003. One other major commonplace is acronyms. It'll make your head spin faster than some of the rides you go on!

Reading about the Operations Center (OPCEN) reminded me when I was working on The Rockin Roller Coaster and The Tower of Terror in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. We would rotate to different stations so as to not become too complacent at one position. One of the stations was where we would monitor pictures that were being taken on the ride. We would have to delete the pictures from the public view if we saw anything "obscene." Disney considered middle fingers and women pulling up their shirts in that category.
