How does China cheat on trade? Let us count the ways

Is it cheating if we allow them to do it? This list is nothing new. We've known of it for decades, ever since Nixon opened relations with China. Indeed, it appeared/appears that virtually every one of these practices were simply a benefit of "most favored nation trade" status. Why should the Chinese have thought otherwise? Why are we surprised at their reaction to President Trump's threats to reverse the trend?
