How facts backfire

Talking the left/right finger pointing completely off the table for a second. I wonder how many here read this, agreed with it, but only to the extent that they think it pertains to the other guys, not themselves.

Depressing read, current events point to the idea it may be true...

Never thought of it that way. It is dead on how many people hate to admit they was wrong. The story brought to mind my grandfather. If you ask him what he believes is right on one issue at a time he should vote right. He will never vote right and when you tell him his answers all leads to the GOP candidate he will argue til he storms off. Hence politics is not allowed in family dinners.
