Decades ago I was clinically depressed which by definition means suicidal a number of times in the 1980s and 1990s. Only by the grace of God did I not end my life in those dark days and nights. God had other plans for my life and He allowed me to live.
Suicide seems to lure the depressed to an end of pain yet it causes pain at death and incredible pain to those left behind who pick up the pieces of of broken lives.
I have known families which committed suicide one after another usually on an anniversary of a traumatic event.
Friends and family are the best ones to recognize severe depression. Hopefully we will be able to recognize the suicidal around us and help them seek help before they kill themselves.

CAPT Michael W. Langston, PhD, DMin - First I created a spreadsheet where I have the basic information of each contact I have including there RallyPoint contact ino and what member and topic groups we have in common.
2nd. I created a Microsoft Word document where I have recorded the RallyPoint contact info fro individuals.
3. I have groups for people interested in Civil War; general response; my updates, etc.
If you want to find the RallyPoint contact info.
To find somebody's contact info type @ then the rank and first name of one of your contacts. You ca only tag your own contacts.

I have noticed guilt is one of the hardest aspects of PTSD to break. The nature is thus; it is a real and tangible loss. This is a well written article especially pointing out the small joys that keeps your motor running. Suicide is not the answer, you wipe out pain for more pain to follow. That is how it works sometimes. Stay in the fight, don't give up.
