This awe-inspiring article only increases my respect and admiration for CPT Griest, 1LT Haver, and MAJ Jaster, as it illuminates their grueling journey to earning the "coveted black and gold." One fascinating anecdote from the article was how CPT Griest pleaded with COL Fivecoat (RTB's commander) to receive a Day-One Recycle and pumped out 49 Ranger-standard push-ups in order to bolster her case (after weeks of grueling Darby Phase patrols). An absolutely fascinating and incredible narrative of the utmost resilience, grit, and intestinal fortitude required to earn the Ranger tab!

nothing changed at ranger school on May 29, still the same leadership school. Like my brothers say in Ranger Battalion, Ranger school is a leadership school, Ranger Battalion is a way of life.
