How North Korean Ax Murderers Almost Triggered a Second Korean War (And Maybe World War III)

I was there, working to keep our jets overhead. It was real.
But truth be told, that would have been the THIRD Korean War. The actual second Korean War took place between 1966 and 1969. America was so wrapped up in Vietnam that the public didn't notice. Over the course of those 3 years, the NK invaded the South using small parties, set ambushes, and killed US and SK troops a few at a time. Probably over a 100 killed on our side during those 3 years. I know it doesn't seem like much of a war, but 100 dead US soldiers is something, wouldn't you agree?
