I just wonder how many lives inaction will cost the US and what cost will the humanitarian crisis which has to rest partialy squarely on Obama's shoulders end up costing taxpayers in the long run.

We need to be more tribal. How many of our guys have to die for their humanitarian crisis?

How about a terrible refugee crisis, a deepening proxy war and the rise of ISIL in Iraq and Syria?

How many dead US Servicemen do you think that is worth?
I say -zero-.

How much more debt should we incur while our infrastructure crumbles?
I say -zero-.

The only qualifier to that is how important is the existence of the Caliphate in recruiting wannabee jihadists here in this country? Since, thanks to the policies of the POTUS, the Caliphate appears to be shrinking. That, with almost no US casualties, or none really. That one SF soldier killed a couple of months ago was not acting directly against the Caliphate.

I have said this a couple of times. Maybe you have an answer. From where does our log train stretch backwards from central Iraq/Syria?

Is the incoming terminus in - Turkey, Syria, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon? Israel maybe?

I don't think we can get the requisite number of units deployed into that area. We just can't.
