Aside from being a huge Star Wars Nerd, this video and the follow up is interesting. Scary thing is that the way people are willing to give up their rights, and demand that others give up their rights in the current political environment, it is not outside the realm of possibility for someone to try this.

PO3 Steven Sherrill YouTube is filled with several gigs worth of cliff notes for Star Wars canon and non-canon. I don't know if there is another Saga where complicated things like politics is covered.
