2LT Michael Brodka good read and share with major points of interest. You nailed it with the focus on ISIS, Al-Qadea almost killed me in 2004 in Iraq with a IED. I would love to see this network extinguished with ISIS. They are a dominant force, I hope ISIS and Al-Qadea don't unite and take over the middle east. All the sacrifice the coalition forces put in would be in vain.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, I imagine you would like nothing more than to see Al Qaeda extinguished. I fought AQI in north Iraq and saw them on the brink of destruction. It is hard seeing places we fought so hard for fall into the hands of ISIS. Now, the organization we spent 15 years demolishing is strenghtening again in the Arabian Peninsula. I think this should clearly show Congress that there are threats that we have not been able to eliminate because we do not have the resources. AQI almost was defeated, was allowed to fester, and became ISIS. AQAP was on the ropes in Yemen in 2012-2013, then ISIS errupted and took our focus off Yemen, which allowed a rebel takeover of the country and AQAP to flourish. We need the resources to finish the fight or we will continue going in circles.

Four months ago, Obama called Yemen’s war on terror a success. Now the Yemeni government may...
"This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years."
