Have they run into the same issues that our Navy has with the landing gear and hypoxia. This bird could be so awesome, if they hadn't lost their way from initial idea to final version. Thankfully, the creators realized they couldn't just cram everything into it & began refocusing on the initial mission of the frame.

So many times we have a really good idea for an aircraft, but by the time we bring it from the drawing board to reality a lot of other interested parties have become involved and try to stick things on there.
We ran into the same issue in the U.S. Army when We brought the Apache on board, there were so many conflicting interests and folks you wanted to do things it wasn't designed to do, that he wasn't able to carry a payload of all those things. Eventually there were a lot of compromises including one that gave up fuel for bullets, in order to arm the mini-gun on the nose that just has 300 rounds.
