You did note that the CDC came into being many years later and even today hasn't had much effect on flu statistics. The disease came and went on it's own terms in 1918. Today, it is seldom that the prevention works better than 50%, about the same as if you did nothing. That being said, it is the high death rate for kids and elderly, that I always get the flu shot. A tiny needle to possibly improve my odds is worth it.

we learned about this pandemic in med training in the 70 and the Way the pathogens spread ... and with the today's forms of Transit Today the flu like pandemics would spread like wild fire ...
