Ka-bars, Randels and Gerbers were the knives of choice in RVN. Sold mail order at a ridiculously low price compared to today. I still have a terribly abused KaBar and a pristine Gerber mk2.

it's a well made and well designed Knife...
After I lost My dads (Stolen) Ka-Bar i picked up a gerber Mk I
The Gerber was not as well balanced as the Ka-Bar

I bought a Winchester set of knives. Not even close to the K-Bar. I had a knife in Vietnam I took everywhere with me. It wasn't a K-Bar, but it was a great knife.

SGT (Join to see) - Sign on for their emails- when Cold Steel comes on they will have a lot of them including a cool one with a Tanto blade, usually at half price. They also have a lot of Gil Hibben knives.

SGT (Join to see) - PS Cold Steel also offers a great Marine NCO sword for an unbeatable price thru Dvor. I never would have bought one otherwise.
