How to Avoid a Bloodbath in Venezuela

Where's there's life, there's hope, but very little else. When the pendulum has swung too far one way, it is unlikely that it will stop at some midpoint as it swings in the other direction (at least that's what history teaches us). Unless, of course, an outside force arrives to mitigate the damage (as in the American occupation of Japan). Sadly, I'm afraid that America is too lost in its own struggles to lead another as well as it did in the reconstruction of Japan and the UN (the most likely candidate for such an effort) never has had the best interests of "democracy" at heart.
