This is an article I believe every RP member should read. I've noticed, as I'm sure you have as well, that many posts/responses/discussions turn heated as we are discussing topics that we each feel deeply about as they are important to all of us.
Yet, while we practice the art of debate in a democracy, we need to remember that we all - while having differing opinions and beliefs - support and have good will and intentions towards each other and our country - however misguided we may think their opinions are.

It is truly an art to get others to speak from a position of emotion vs one of knowledge, and yet another aspect is configuring as to whose knowledge is is speaking from that actually sounds like it is grounded in stone... When someone quotes a survey result.... it aint grounded in stone... just the perception of one. :)

What? Are you trying to ruin the fun? BTW, the article opens with assertions that are not supported by facts and the author also demonstrates a lack of understanding the concept of "cognitive dissonance".
