Super flush your coolant system. I do this every time I buy a new (used) car. Why? Because you never know how well someone took care of their car before you bought it, and your coolant could be hiding many a bad things in there, including cruded up heater cores and radiators.
PLEASE, NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER put anything in your cooling system that isn't coolant or a chemical expressly used for flushing out the system, this also includes anything that repairs seals or expands them, or anything that "repairs" cracks or holes in your system. This is one of those things where the "quick fix" will wind up costing you a LOT more later on down the line.

Thank you for the Super flush lesson, now I laugh at what we use to do in the old days, take off the lower radiator hose on the radiator side, put a water hose in the radiator fill hole, turn on the water on full blast, start the engine for as long as you want. Lol
Oh, the radiator's in those days were made out of copper, us kids use to take all the junk car copper radiators and sell the copper. Lol
