Thanks for sharing PO1 William "Chip" Nagel. Terrorism has changed a lot from the 1960s. Each generation of parents has had to learn how to have this discussion and educate their children to be careful and alert even while trying to help them maintain their innocence.

LTC Stephen F. My Children spent their Wee Years, Early Childhood in London when the IRA and Bader Meinhoff was Active. They Learned about Package Bombs Early.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I was stationed in Germany and we dealt with left wing terrorists such as the Bader Meinhoff AKA Red Army faction and right wing terror groups in Bavaria where in was stationed. A right-wing group bombed our local O-club. The year after I visited a friend stationed near Athens, the club we visited a few times was bombed by Muslim-terrorists. Crete was still a sore spot in those days.
