I'm not an IT person, (although I've built my own PC's for years) but I would assume that the IoT, DoS attacks, and other hacking threats would be pushing critical infrastructure such as banking and utilities off the open internet and onto separate highly secured networks ala the SIPRnet--NIPRnet model. If not there is a fortune to be made in this area of technology.

SSgt GG-15 RET Jim Lint I am seeing some changes to software that wasn't there 10 or so years ago as programmers are learning to build security features and functions into software. I imagine it will take a few years to get security into the IoT as well. It cost money to add security and then we have to look at the vulnerabilities that are built into some systems by some countries...
