My technical job that I had now I had to prove I knew what I was doing over the course of 8 years as a mechanic. . . . That really sucked as mechanics is really hard on someone with arthritis. I am glad I have the job I do now, and I am looking at taking some management classes to move up from my current position. My job in the military did help me get to the position I am in now, but it sure did take a bit.

My transition was difficult. Took time to translate terms on my resume (command becomes management, etc). But, I made it.
