Regardless of branch or specialty, a lot of businesses like that military members know how to be ON-TIME. I never lost the "15 minutes early is on time" attitude and it served me well in a number of jobs.

These are good points but do they really make a difference? I ask because when I retired from the Army I didn't go to work, I stayed home to allow my wife's career to get started. We are relocating again so I will stay retired for a little longer to get our household settled and to ensure my wife is settled in her new employment. After that I am open to going back into the workforce. I'm always wondering how much my military experience will make a difference. I see the articles where one says people want military and another says they don't so I'm assuming it depends on career fields or places of business. My background is legal and human resources so I'm not sure how and if my military experience will help or hinder my job search.
