Just gave it a minimal perusing ... more than it deserved. The "blogger" asserts "The main problem with the notion of self-defense is it imposes on justice, for everyone has the right for a fair trial." What he is leaving out in this 500 foot straw man is that it completely disregards the individual Right to self defense. So I can't stop you from murdering me because I would deprive you of your Right to a fair trial. OMG, I think this guy just gave me a stupid stroke!

The definition of a trial is "a formal examination of evidence before a judge, and typically before a jury, in order to decide guilt in a case of criminal or civil proceedings."

If it is to the point that I am shooting someone in defense of myself or someone else it is because the criminal in question has already proven their guilt by taking or threatening to take the life of someone. I would rather face court and potential jail time than be killed because I gave the criminal his chance at a fair trial. This may come off the wrong way but seriously, people are really scraping the bottom of the barrel to try and form arguments against firearms.

A right to a fair trial?

Um...if you decide to break a law, trying to avoid such plead by trying to harm me or my family, I think a fair trial is a gun pointed at you and me asking, "give me one reason, not to shoot you."
