Yet their missile/nuclear technology is right up there with most highly developed nations. Wonder if you can eat those things?

This is why I believe that if or when something breaks out a majority of them will drop their weapons and haul butt. Being a prisoner gets them better treatment than they have now. Most of them don't know any better or the full reason they are training to fight other than they will get executed if they say no. Hunger is a powerful tool for morale. Maslows Hierarchy of needs explains it all.

Open some fast food restaurants on the DMZ and they will surrender fast. Better yet set up large fans and blow cooking smells North.

SN Greg Wright while enjoying the tourist mecca of northern South Korea i would frequently see the colorful & rustic local villagers performing one of two tasks, to wit:

1) preparing kimchi, or;
2) opening a “fresh” (a relative term) pot of “ripe” kimchi

It was important to not confuse these two very similar appearing tasks.

If you were downwind, task the Second would make think nostalgically of burning shitters...

Love Kimchi, especially with some Omurice or Egg-n-Cheese Ramen, Yaki-Mandu and a bottle of Soju
