HVAC AUTOMATION CONTROLS HELP DESK TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

Provides technical support for our contract clients, non-contract clients and service technicians. This also involves monitoring sites and alarms, diagnosing issues in advance for our service technicians. Providing comfort control assistance and troubleshooting.

Preferred “Ideal” Candidates:

Computer knowledge
HVAC knowledge
HVAC automation and controls knowledge
Communication and people skills
They must be able to listen and take directions.
Self-starter
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Work with a various personalities
Sit for long periods of time
Perform data entry task while viewing a computer monitor for long periods of time

Are you a systems person? Do you have experience in Systems, System Analyst, or Technician-type work. We are not looking for an individual who is a computer programmer ex. video game programmer. Someone who can work in systems tries to figure out how all the inner pieces work together to create a whole.

Candidates do not need to have HVAC knowledge for this position, there will be on the job training in order to become experienced with HVAC Help Desk.

Duties:

Monitor and operate various building automation control systems (Tracer Summit, JACE, & Tridium) for external and internal Clients.
Provide technical assistance with tablets and laptops in regards to HVAC specific software
Document details of Technical Support phone calls.
Perform Remote Operating Inspections for monitored control systems.
Acknowledge daytime alarms within one hour. All alarms should be taken care of before 5 pm. Overnight alarms should be addressed the following morning. There should not be any remaining unacknowledged alarms from the preceding day shift.
Will be using MS Office, Windows, and HVAC software

Education: Associates degree or equivalent years of experience in Computers or related field preferred. Will accept related military training.
