Domestic abuse is in some ways harder to fight in the military, populated by people trained to survive difficult situations.
My story started the way many do, with sparkly attraction that morphed into friendship, then love. Unfortunately, my story also ended the way too many do, with holes in the walls, broken doors, and police knocking at the front door.

We had a Marine who's wife was extremely abusive toward him. We all knew it and he never said a word.

SGT (Join to see) Keith, i am from the old school and will probably be called sexist.But you do not hit women,do not take out aggression's on them verbally or any other way.There have always been abusive spouses and will continue to be ,i am sure.I will not be one of them and will insert my self if needed.As i said will probably be called sexist but i was taught to open doors ,stand when a lady enter a room or was to be seated at my table and just be polite in general. I have no use for anyone who abuses anyone.

SSgt Terry P., Have you ever noticed when those bullies are confronted by a man, they turn to jelly? I've seen some documentaries about it, and 9 times out of 10 they are cowards. In no way would I ever get mad enough to hurt a woman physically or mentally.
