These people left their homes in Guatemala and El Salvador and navigated 1000+ miles (allegedly sometimes trudging on foot) through Mexico (a veritable third world country) which is known as a haven for drug cartels and human traffickers and kidnappers. They endured hunger and poor weather conditions and God only knows what else, arriving at a "dangerous border city". Then, and only then, they “face violence in Mexico” because President Trump’s new policy compels them to wait in the city they came to voluntarily? Preposterous.

Simple fix, militarize the southern border..cross other than at ports of entry and risk your own life...

It seems to me (then again, I'm being sensible) that the UN should be sent to their home countries and examine their claims. After all, thats' what they are paid to do. Giving them asylum is temporary. Their home needs to be fixed.
